Job summary

City of Hope seeks a Section Chief and Head & Neck Medical Oncologist to lead our Head & Neck Cancers Programs in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Duarte, CA campus. The role offers protected research/academic time and teaching responsibilities within a 500+ member integrated Medical Group.

The candidate will oversee outpatient care with some inpatient duties, expand clinical trials, and drive translational research across the enterprise, contributing to City of Hope's national

Qualifications

• Experience in an academic medical center delivering clinical and translational cancer care.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art cancer care and research innovations.
• Reputation as a physician and researcher in head and neck cancers with a strong publications track record.
• Experience developing and conducting clinical trials; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead head and neck cancer programs with an integrated medical oncology group.
• Clinic-based responsibilities with outpatient focus, some inpatient care.
• Teach fellows and lead research and clinical care initiatives across the enterprise.
• Expand and scale clinical trials and translational research within City of Hope.
• Provide vision for research and clinical care delivery to advance national reputation.

Education

MD or MD/PhD or equivalent

Fellowship trained

Board certified/eligible in Hematology & Medical Oncology
