Responsibilities

As a Head Line Setter:

• Setting lines for curb machine, accurately & quickly
• Accurately set catch basins
• Knows proper materials needed for the day’s work
• Complete understanding of curb crew operations & curb machine capabilities
• Reads & understands plans, how to scale plans
• Clear understanding of scheduling
• Schedules excavating contractor to properly prepare street for curb
• Correctly complete paperwork
• Trains assistant line setter to take over when required
• Fills in whenever needed to get the job done
• Excellent communication skills with engineers, excavators curb crew & own crew
• Majority of field work, may be on your feet most of the working day, may require some heavy lifting, some operation of equipment may be required
• Reading, writing, basic math skills, calculate cuts & fills
