Job summary

Smith Arnold Partners is seeking a SVP, Head of Security Technology to join the executive cybersecurity leadership team of a large, global organization. This is a senior, #2-level position reporting directly to the CISO with visibility across the enterprise.

You will lead 20+ security architects and engineers, guiding Security Architecture, Security Engineering, IAM and CTEM, and shaping an AI-enabled, automation-first security model across the business.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience.
• Strong foundation in enterprise security architecture.
• Experience leading senior security architecture, engineering and/or technology teams.
• Experience in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security, Zero Trust, IAM, security engineering and exposure management.
• Experience modernizing security environments through automation and platform consolidation.
• Executive presence to influence CIO/CISO-level leaders and senior stakeholders.
• Experience managing large technology investments, vendors, budgets and programs.
• Ability to remain technically credible while operating at the executive level.

We are conducting a search for a SVP, Head of Security Technology to join the executive cybersecurity leadership team of a large, highly respected global organization.

This is a #2-level leadership position within the security organization, reporting directly to the CISO, with significant visibility across executive leadership and the broader enterprise.

The mandate is substantial: modernize the company's security technology organization and help define what enterprise cybersecurity should look like for the next several years.

This executive will lead a team of approximately 20+ security architects and engineers and have responsibility across Security Architecture, Security Engineering, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and Continuous Threat & Exposure Management (CTEM).

The organization is making a significant investment in modernizing its security posture, moving toward an AI-enabled, automation-first, engineering-led security model. Title: SVP, Head of Security Technology

Compensation: $350,000 - $400,000 +Bonus + LTI / RSUs

Responsibilities:

• You will have a mandate to build, modernize and transform.
• You will help define the target-state security architecture, establish an automation-first security engineering model, advance Zero Trust and identity capabilities, rationalize security platforms and vendors, strengthen DevSecOps, and bring AI and analytics deeper into how security risk is identified and managed.
• Just as importantly, you will have a seat at the table with senior leadership and the ability to connect security architecture and technology investment directly to enterprise risk, resilience and business strategy.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience
• A strong foundation in enterprise security architecture
• Several years leading senior security architecture, engineering and/or technology organizations
• Experience operating within a large, complex enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, Zero Trust, IAM, security engineering and exposure management
• Experience modernizing security environments through automation, platform consolidation, architecture modernization and operating-model transformation
• The executive presence to influence CIO/CISO-level leaders, business executives and other senior stakeholders
• Experience managing significant technology investments, vendors, budgets and enterprise-scale security programs
• The ability to remain technically credible while operating effectively at the executive level
• Experience within insurance or financial services is attractive but not required. We are very interested in executives coming from large Fortune 500 or similarly complex organizations where cybersecurity operates at significant scale.
