The Head Golf Professional is responsible for the daily operations of Golf Shop, Merchandise, Equipment, Cart Fleet, Lessons, Practice Facility and Tournaments (and Club House) including guest and team member relations. Work closely with Superintendent of Golf regarding golf course set up and procedures.
All Team Members will display a Four Diamond commitment to Customer Service through the delivery and maintenance of the Quality Standards established by Pechanga Resort and Casino.
In the absence of the Director of Golf, the Head Golf Professional will assist in a supervisory capacity as needed.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION: Minimum 5 years experience Head Pro Golf Professional and supervisor or management experience. BA in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: This position requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. This position also requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Furthermore, this position requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Mathematical skills necessary to complete management forecasts and payroll controls. This position requires the ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. This position also requires the ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY: This position requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. This position also requires the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
