Pyre seeks a lead fire protection technician based in Helena, AL to own field work across Central Alabama, mentor junior techs, and set the service standard.

The role requires NICET III in Water-Based Systems Layout and NFPA 25 knowledge; you will train teams, supervise inspections, and be the face of Pyre on sites.

A valid driver's license is a must; the position includes a company truck, health/dental/vision insurance, NICET advancement support, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• NICET III in Water-Based Systems Layout is required.
• Knowledge of NFPA 25 for wet/dry/deluge/pre-action systems is required.
• Ability to lead field inspections and train technicians.
• Face of Pyre on customer sites; professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our Client is a fire protection and life safety services company built for heavy industrial and commercial operations. Our mission is to eliminate preventable fire risk in dynamic environments and set the standard for how it's done. This is a lead role. You'll set the bar for the team and own the work in the field. The position is based out of Helena, AL and serves customer sites across Central Alabama.

What You'll Do

• Manage the team by training younger techs and setting the standard
• Inspect, test, and maintain sprinkler systems and fire pumps
• Test wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action systems
• Troubleshoot and repair leaks, bad heads, valves, and worn parts
• Flag deficiencies and parts that need swapping
• Write up clean service tickets

What We're Looking For - Required

• NICET III in Water-Based Systems Layout
• Working knowledge of NFPA 25 across wet, dry, deluge, and pre-action systems
• Able to lead from the front by training techs, running inspections, and owning the work
• Presentable and professional, comfortable being the face of Pyre on customer sites
• Valid driver's license and a clean, insurable driving record
• Able to handle the field, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working ladders and lifts, and managing tight spaces
• Reliable and accountable, showing up, taking ownership, and cutting no corners

Preferred

• NICET II or III in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems
• Comfortable with tablet or phone reporting and service software
