Gilbert Christian Schools, Inc. is seeking an athletics coach to lead devotionals and promote a God-centered culture while managing practices and games.

You will teach sport rules, ensure athlete safety, and foster sportsmanship among players, parents, and staff. Strong leadership, communication, and a Christian example are essential for this role.

Formación

• High school level coaching experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Personal commitment to Christian faith and the ability to serve as a spiritual role model.
• For credentialing, be prepared to obtain required clearances and certifications.

Responsabilidades

• Lead devotionals, team prayer, and maintain a God-centered culture.
• Practice & Game Management and know the sport rules.
• Promote sportsmanship among players, parents, and fans.
• Report injuries and discipline issues to the Athletic Director promptly.
• Communicate purchases in advance and use TeamSnap for schedules.
• Hold a parent meeting in the first week of the season.
• Attend all practices, games, and tournaments; ensure athlete safety.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and follow budget guidelines.
• Attend required Athletics meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Spiritual Leadership

• Lead devotionals, team prayer, and maintain a God-centered culture.
• Practice & Game Management
• Know and teach sport rules.
• Promote sportsmanship among players, parents, and fans.

Communication

• Report injuries, discipline issues, roster changes, and vehicle incidents to the Athletic Director the same day.
• Communicate purchases in advance and use TeamSnap for schedules and updates.
• Hold a parent meeting in the first week of the season.

Professionalism, Safety and Professional Development.

• Attend all practices, games, and tournaments.
• Ensure athlete safety and supervision at all times—before, during, and after team activities.
• Maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Follow budget guidelines and child abuse reporting protocol.
• Keep school vehicles clean and locked.
• Encourage multi-sport participation; out-of-season practices require approval and must be voluntary.
• Seek growth opportunities and attend required Athletics meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience at the high school level or higher preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• A personal commitment to Christian faith and the ability to serve as a spiritual role model.

Requirements

All applicants must have or be able to obtain the following documentation by date of hire:

• Current AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Current CPR & First Aid Certificate
