Job summary

The Omaha Theater Company seeks a Costume Shop Manager to oversee the daily operation of the costume shop, implement the costume designer’s vision on each main stage production, and support youth productions and metro tours. You will lead main stage builds, supervise stitchers and volunteers, manage fittings, rentals, education programs, and collaborate with the Production Director on budgets.

On-site work is required and a salary range of $45,000–$48,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• BA in theater, fashion design, or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong pattern making, sewing, and construction skills.
• Experience in budgeting and coordinating costume builds.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the costume shop.
• Lead main stage costume builds and supervise stitchers and volunteers.
• Coordinate rentals and education program costume needs.
• Maintain show budgets and inventory with the designer.
• Attend dress rehearsals and collaborate with the Production Director.
