Reports to: Athletic Director, School Principal

SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to instruct student athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.

At the same time, the students shall receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, sportsmanship and service to others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Conducts and analyzes scouting reports
  • Assists student athletes in college advancement
  • Maintains and inventories all equipment and supplies
  • Acts as liaison person in relating the athletic program to the staff, administration, general public, and local news media
  • Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students
  • Responsible for implementing "other job related duties" as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to operate computer, printer, telephone, copier, facsimile machine, and all other standard office equipment
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Sufficient mobility to navigate within a large and small school building, practice facilities, weight room
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
