Dawson Community College in Glendive, MT, is seeking a Head Coach for Women's Softball on a part-time (.55 FTE), 10-month basis. The role offers a salary range of $21,214–$43,311, commensurate with education and experience.

The Head Softball Coach will lead all aspects of the program, including culture, recruiting, budget management, eligibility and NJCAA compliance, scheduling, travel, fundraising, academic monitoring, and player development.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of coaching/recruiting experience (or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Sensitivity to and respect for a diverse academic community.
• Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.
• Valid Montana driver's license.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit, develop, and coach a competitive intercollegiate softball team.
• Manage assigned budget, scholarships, and tuition waivers.
• Recruit and supervise assistant coaches and volunteers.
• Oversee facilities, equipment, and inventory.
• Represent DCC professionally during travel, competition, and media interactions.
• Support student-athlete academic advisement and progress toward graduation.
• Promote the program through social media, press releases, and website content.
• Coordinate with the Sports Information Director for stats reporting and live streaming.
• Maintain performance records and office hours.
• Serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) under the Clery Act.

About the Role

The Head Softball Coach leads all aspects of the program, including building a positive team culture, recruiting, budget management, eligibility and NJCAA compliance, scheduling, travel, fundraising, academic monitoring, and overall player development. You'll work closely with the Athletic Director, fellow coaches, and college administrators to grow a competitive intercollegiate program while promoting leadership, academic excellence, and community engagement among student-athletes.
