KIPP Public Schools Northern California seeks a part-time high school soccer coach in San Jose, CA. The role requires coaching experience alongside a valid California Class C license and current insurance, with a reliable DMV record.
You will plan practices, run tryouts, and supervise athletes with a focus on safety and development. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years coaching at high school or club level, a diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work with diverse student groups while upholding
Ability to navigate office and school campuses, and hold meetings in different spaces. Traditionally,much of the day involves sitting. Ability to access and utilize technology. Occasional lifting/carryingof equipment 20 -40 lbs.
Stress of deadlines and normal work standards, ability to analyze problems and generate alternatives, work with interruptions, concentrate for long periods of time, read, calculate, performroutine math problems, memorize and recall objects and people.
Gym or field environment will usually contain both participants and spectators. Frequent travel (50%-70%) to gyms and fields throughout the Bay Area. Location of gyms and fields in San Jose. Adhere to KIPP’s health and safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC, CDE, and public healthagencies’ recommendations.
