Job summary

Heritage High School in Lynchburg, Virginia is seeking a Head Coach for Girls JV Soccer to lead a competitive program with focus on skill development, team strategy, and positive student-athlete growth. Candidates should have soccer experience and ideally prior coaching involvement.

The role involves directing practices, teaching game concepts, and managing match-day activities, reporting to the Athletic Director. This is a part-time stipend position for the 2025–2026 school year.

• Preference is given to those with coaching experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides instruction to student-athletes in the skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for the team and individuals playing soccer.

• Instructs players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Organizes and directs individual and small group practice activities/exercises. Assesses players’ skills, and monitors players during competition and practice.
• Determines game strategy and supervises athletes during practices and competitions.
