Vermont Academy seeks an experienced Head Coach for Boys’ Prep Basketball to lead one of the school’s premier athletic programs. The Head Coach will oversee player development, team culture, recruiting, and college placement while guiding the student‑athletes through the high-level prep basketball environment.

Qualifications

• Significant basketball coaching experience at prep school, collegiate, or elite high school levels.
• Strong ability to teach the game at an advanced level and develop players.
• Knowledge of college basketball recruiting and guiding student‑athletes through it.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for Boys’ Prep Basketball.
• Plan and conduct practices focused on skill development and basketball IQ.
• Establish a team culture grounded in accountability and sportsmanship.
• Coordinate recruiting of prospective student‑athletes with Athletics and Admissions.
• Support college recruitment and engage with college coaches on behalf of players.
• Maintain relationships with players, families, and the broader basketball community.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to advance Vermont Academy Athletics.
