Job summary

Hope High School in Providence, Rhode Island seeks an Athletics - Head Coach Game Day Cheer for SY 26-27. This part-time role requires three hours daily during the season, with duties including teaching fundamentals, organizing practice, and coordinating with school leadership.

Eligible candidates must meet RIIL coaching permit requirements and CPR/First Aid certification. Starting immediately, on-site duties and a background check are required.

Qualifications

• BA in education or related field preferred but not required.
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification required.
• RIIL Coaching Permit Requirements.
• Experience in coaching and youth sports preferred.
• Dedication to youth and ability to gain respect of team members.

Responsibilities

• Teach fundamentals and skills.
• Organize practice sessions.
• Keep records and report results to local media.
• Provide Principal and Athletic Director an outline of a general practice session.
• Conduct coaches meetings and assign coaches responsibilities.
• Provide for care and prevention of injuries.
• Conform to Providence School Department Athletic Handbook rules.
• Recruitment of players and advancement of the sport.
• Prepare team budget.
