Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia has an immediate opening and is accepting applications for a Head Boys' Soccer Coach position that is available for the 2026-2027 school year at Blacksburg Middle School.

Under the direction of the Athletic Director and/or Principal, the coach must plan and implement a high quality athletic program that stresses fundamentals, teamwork, and sportsmanship while maintaining high safety standards for all athletes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications listed: High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be 21 or older
• VHSL coaching education courses
• Ability to communicate with parents, students & admins
• Ability to motivate students and be dependable and punctual
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance required

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a high-quality athletic program emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork & sportsmanship
• Maintain high safety standards for all athletes
• Monitor academic performance to ensure student eligibility
• Collaborate with Athletic Director and Principal
