Job summary

Creston Community School District is seeking a High School Boys/Girls Head Bowling Coach to oversee the bowling program, coordinate with the Activities Director, and manage program development for K-12 athletics. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and budgeting abilities.

The coach will hire and evaluate assistants, promote positive student-athlete outcomes, and align sport goals with school policy while working under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical education, education, athletic training, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Iowa Teaching license or completion of Iowa Coaching Authorization.
• Experience in multicultural settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates school-based youth sports programs.
• Manages program development and department finances.
• Assists Athletic Director with hiring and evaluating coaches.
• Communicates with parents, students, staff and community partners regarding sports policies and updates.
• Motivates students to maintain strong academic performance.
