Job summary

• High school, club, or collegiate baseball coaching experience preferred.
• Experience competing at high school or collegiate level preferred.
• Secondary teaching certificate preferred, but non-teaching applicants will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee all aspects of the baseball program for grades 9-12.
• Plan and supervise practices, meet preparation, conditioning coordination, and athlete development.
• Coordinate team schedules, game logistics, travel, budgeting, and equipment inventory.
• Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches with the Athletic Director.
• Promote a positive and competitive team culture aligned with school values.
• Coordinate preseason, postseason, and offseason programming including camps and clinics.
• Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, faculty and alumni.
• Support community engagement and youth programs, including camps and clinics.
• Ensure compliance with IHSAA, ORVC, school and athletic policies.
• Maintain professional growth through coaching clinics and certifications.
• Assist with field maintenance and turf field prep.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee all aspects of the baseball program for grades 9-12.
• Plan and supervise practices, meet preparation, strength and conditioning coordination, and athlete development.
• Coordinate team schedules, game logistics, travel arrangements, budgeting, and equipment inventory.
• Hire, supervise, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaching staff in collaboration with the Athletic Director.
• Promote a positive and competitive team culture aligned with the values of South Ripley High School.
• Coordinate preseason, postseason, and offseason programming, including summer opportunities and athlete development initiatives.
• Maintain communication with student-athletes, parents, faculty/staff, and alumni
• Support and participate in community engagement, and youth program initiatives, including camps and clinics.
• Ensure compliance with all IHSAA, ORVC, school, and athletic department policies and procedures.
• Maintain professional growth through coaching clinics, certifications, and continuing education opportunities.
• Help with ongoing and regular field maintenance and preparation including care for new turf field

Qualifications

• Previous high school, club, or collegiate coaching experience in baseball preferred.
• Experience competing in baseball at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
• Secondary teaching certificate preferred, but none-teaching applicants will be considered.
