Job Description Summary

The Pharmacy Specialist is a resource for the execution of the Medication Delivery Systems clinical business strategy. The technical and informative support provided by the Pharmacy Specialist helps to differentiate the Hazardous Drug Safety product portfolio to our customers through a peer-to-peer strategy. The expertise and credentials of the Pharmacy Specialist strengthens the validity of the recommendations for customers and leverages the pharmacy expertise to optimize the conversion process. This support is delivered through standardized methodology, conversion management, and facilitating education and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acts as the primary resource for initial education and training of customers on HDS (Hazardous Drug Solutions) portfolio in both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy settings.
  • Provides follow-up support at the pharmacy level to support retention of existing business.
  • Visits key customer accounts, focusing on retention and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Provides subject matter expertise and plays an active role through the sales process.
  • Contributes to the development of tools to enhance the clinical acumen of the sales team.
  • Reports activities and updates in Salesforce.com.
  • Participates in trade shows to promote the MDS (Medication Management Solutions) portfolio
About You

To be successful in this role, will require…

  • Engaging well with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Capably presenting information using adult learning principles
  • Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education and Experience Required
  • CPhT Certification required
  • BS degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience preparing hazardous drugs and educating others, in a specialty pharmacy, hospital pharmacy or compounding pharmacy.
  • Preferred experience with BD CSTD (closed‑system drug transfer device) product portfolio
  • Leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of USP 797, USP 800 and current safe handling guidelines.
  • Must be able to travel up to 90% to service the regional, area and national needs

Salary Range Information

91,600.00 - 151,100.00 USD
