Whitaker Construction is seeking a Pipe Fuser to construct, install, and maintain HDPE gas piping systems. You will fuse plastic piping, inspect installations, and communicate with teammates to keep excavation work safe and efficient.

Responsibilities include following blueprints, testing for leaks, and operating fusion equipment while maintaining documentation and adhering to safety standards on job sites in Utah. A valid driver's license and the ability to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Vocational training strongly desired.
• DOT/Enbridge Fusion Certification required.
• OQ Certification required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience in underground utility construction preferred.

Responsabilités

• Construct, install, and maintain piping systems for natural gas utilities.
• Join plastic polyethylene piping by fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical joints.
• Install and replace HDPE gas mains and services.
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting.
• Layout pipe and supports per blueprints.
• Locate pipes needing repair or replacement.
• Test for leaks and perform QA.
• Work around backhoes, excavators, fusion equipment safely.
• Load/unload equipment and materials.
• Prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Assist equipment operators and locate underground obstructions.
• Maintain documentation per customer requirements.
• Awareness of traffic control and Blue Stakes laws.
