You will travel as needed, service engines, hydraulics and electrical systems, keep detailed repair records, and support field operations with reliable equipment performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work-related experience with construction or utility equipment repairs.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Experience with hydraulics and electrical diagnostics is beneficial.
• CDL a plus.
• Must have a valid Driver License.
• Must be able to bend/kneel/stand/walk for long periods.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull 20+ pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on HDD equipment.
• Testing equipment and preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, and hydraulic testing.
• Repairs engine failures and mechanical/electrical system malfunctions, replaces parts and body damage.
• Maintains records by recording service and repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The HDD Field Mechanic is responsible for repair and maintenance on various machines and equipment used for Horizontal Directional Drilling.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs maintenance on HDD equipment.
• Testing equipment and completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, replacing filters, and hydraulic testing.
• Maintains equipment's functional condition by repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions, replacing parts and components, and repairing body damage.
• Maintains records by recording service and repairs.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

• Must be willing to travel.
• Qualified candidates must have 2+ years of work-related experience with construction or utility related equipment repairs.
• Experience with hydraulics and electrical diagnostics is beneficial.
• CDL a plus.
