Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in construction/estimating is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or learn.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and computer software.

Responsibilities

• Estimate HDD projects from start to finish.
• Perform detailed quantity and material takeoffs.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Review project scopes and identify potential risks and challenges.
• Assist with developing project bids and proposals.
• Research materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Work with HDD superintendents, project managers, and executive leadership.
• Help develop production rates and project schedules.
• Learn HDD means & methods, tooling, equipment, and construction techniques.
• Track bid opportunities and assist with maintaining estimating databases.
• Support the team in preparing competitive and accurate proposals.
