Qualifications

• Hold a valid Driver's License for one year with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to load, secure, and unload household goods as needed.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and extended shifts when necessary.
• Basic computer skills for electronic logs and communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a Class B commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Operate the vehicle maintaining safety of the public, self, and equipment.
• Safely load, secure, and unload household goods onto the truck and in a customer's home, ensuring proper handling.
• Plan and execute routes to ensure timely delivery while obeying traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Maintain records of mileage, hours of service, and other required documentation.
• Ability to travel with overnight stays.
• Provide exceptional customer service addressing inquiries and requests professionally.
• Collaborate with dispatch to optimize route planning and efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage.
• Maintain a clean and organized cab and trailer to project a professional image.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the truck and its equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours of service, and other required documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Ability to travel with an overnight stay.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to optimize route planning and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to goods or equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer, promoting a professional image both internally and to the public.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable with physical exertion, including bending, twisting, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and withstand long hours of driving.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and possess a valid DOT medical card.
