Job summary

RestorixHealth is seeking a PRN HBO Technician / EMT Certified to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to referred patients. You will perform age-specific assessments, operate the hyperbaric chamber, and maintain accurate notes in the EMR. Training will be provided; EMT certification or RN/LVN license in the state is required.

The role emphasizes patient service, collaboration with physicians and staff, safety, and ongoing education, with a Monday–Friday schedule and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
• EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P, RN or LVN/LPN license in the state where the Technician will work; other advanced medical certifications considered.
• CHT trained/certified preferred.
• Prior wound care experience preferred (will train).
• Basic skills in Word, Excel, Outlook (Microsoft Office).
• Prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all patients referred for treatment.
• Support department QA/education and data collection.
• Document all care according to policy.
• Provide therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations, maintenance, cleaning.
• Recognize patient condition changes and respond appropriately.
• Enter patient treatment notes in RHX EMR.
• Maintain HIPAA and privacy compliance.
• Adhere to safety and infection control provisions.

We are looking for a dedicated HBO Technician (will train) / EMT Certified (required) candidate to provide Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to our referred patients. This technician conducts initial and ongoing age‑specific assessments in designated time frames and provides therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations. The ideal technician provides outstanding customer service to patients, patient family members, referring physicians, and coworkers. Ongoing training will provide you the tools to be successful in your role.

What You’ll Do

• Preparation of all patients referred for treatment
• Participates in the department’s quality improvement plan and assists in collecting data used for Quality Assurance & Education
• Document all care provided accurately and completely according to hospital and department policy
• Provide therapy and hyperbaric chamber operations, maintenance, and cleaning as required
• Recognize changes in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately
• Enter all patient treatment notes into RHX’s EMR system
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to the Privacy and Confidentiality Policy and Procedures
• Adhere to all patient safety initiatives and infection control procedures as outlined in the hospital’s safety manual, and use hospital resources, supplies and equipment appropriately
• Travel to other local centers for coverage, training, etc., when required

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association required
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT‑B, EMT‑I, EMT‑CC, EMT‑P), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) certification in the state in which the Technician will work; other advanced medical certifications will be considered
• CHT trained/certified preferred
• Prior experience with wound care patients preferred (will train)
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system preferred
• Must be physically able to perform CPR
