Job description

Overview

TAS Environmental Services, LP is seeking a Technician to assist in day‑to‑day operations, including emergency response, equipment cleaning, inventory management, and industrial tank cleaning. The role is physically demanding and may involve dirty and strenuous work.

Responsibilities
  • Handle various hazardous and non‑hazardous products
  • Perform industrial work and biohazard cleanups
  • Stage, profile, and process waste for disposal (hazardous and non‑hazardous)
  • Assist in soil, debris, and spill site cleanup
  • Operate and clean equipment
  • Maintain logs of working hours in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
  • Travel up to 25% as needed; location may vary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
  • Require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing at times
  • Frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds
  • Frequent stair and ladder climbing; occasional heights
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection
  • Work in both office settings and job sites
  • Work in confined spaces when needed
  • Maintain a clean shave for proper respirator seal during hazardous waste work
Education and Experience
  • HAZWOPER and confined space certifications preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and perform mathematics
  • Class C (Texas) or equivalent required
  • Level 1 Technicians must obtain and maintain:
    • HAZWOPER 40
    • OSHA 10 and 30
    • MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) Certification
    • CSE/R (Confined Space Entry/Rescue) Certification
    • CPR Certification
    • H2S Certification
    • First Aid Certification
