Job summary

TAS Environmental Services, L.P. is seeking a Technician to assist in emergency response and industrial cleaning operations. This role involves handling hazardous materials, maintaining logs, and operating equipment in varied environments.

Qualifications

• HAZWOPER and Confined Space certifications preferred.
• Ability to read, write and do mathematics.
• Level 1 Technicians must obtain and maintain certifications including HAZWOPER 40, OSHA 10 and 30.

Responsibilities

• Handling various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Performing industrial work and biohazard cleanups.
• Assisting in the removal of soil and debris.

Responsibilities

• Handling various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Performing industrial work and biohazard cleanups
• Staging, profiling, and processing for disposal hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• Assist in the removal of soil, debris and other materials, and cleaning up spill sites
• Operate and clean equipment
• Maintaining logs of working hours in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
• Up to 25% travel as needed - location may differ
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Regular requirement to talk and hear
• Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times

• May occasionally deal with heights
• Ability to wear Personal Equipment, including Respiratory Protection
• Consists of both office setting and physical job site
• Able to work in confined spaces when needed

Education and Experience

• HAZWOPER and Confined Space certifications preferred
• Ability to read, write and do mathematics
• Class C (Texas) or equivalent required
• Level 1 Technicians: obtaining and maintaining several certifications including:
• HAZWOPER 40
• OSHA 10 and 30
• MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) Certification
• CSE/R (Confined Space Entry/Rescue) Certification
• CPR Certification
• H2S Certification
• First Aid Certification
