CHS Inc. in Deer River/Remer, MN is seeking a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team. This M-F home-daily role involves hauling propane to local customers and requires a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, plus 2+ years of tractor-trailer experience.

You will perform safe transport, complete delivery documentation, and comply with DOT regulations while delivering professional, customer-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Requires Class A or Class B CDL as required for equipment/route.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
  • 2+ years verifiable CDL driving experience.
  • Must meet age requirement.

  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance, and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer, in a safe, compliant, timely manner.
  • Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling procedures.
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report issues and perform maintenance as needed.
  • Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs.
  • Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving; notify leadership of incidents or safety concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Summary

CHS Transportation in Deer River/Remer, MN is looking for a Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team! This individaul would be repsonsible for hauling propane to our local customers. This is a M-F home daily role. The ideal candidate would have a Class A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements and 2+ years of tractor trailer experience. Join our team today!

Responsibilities
  • Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials to customer locations using a semi-tractor and trailer and or bobtail truck in a safe, compliant manner, and timely manner
  • Load and unload products by connecting/disconnecting loading arms and hoses; follow all hazardous material handling and transfer safety procedures
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service during pickups and deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams as needed
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, or near misses promptly. Perform interior maintenance and upkeep as needed
  • Prepare delivery documentation and daily load/unload reports; record accurate electronic logs
  • Comply with DOT regulations and company policies for safe driving, including route and hazard awareness. Immediately notify leadership of incidents, near misses, spills/releases, or safety concerns
  • Perform additioanl duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
  • Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
  • 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience
  • Must meet age requirement
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.
Additional Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials
  • Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.
  • Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
