Job summary

The County of Armstrong seeks a dedicated HazMat Coordinator to manage response coordination for hazardous materials incidents, coordinate training, and provide technical support to DPS staff and partners in Armstrong County.

The role includes developing off-site response plans, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with regional agencies to enhance outreach and safety programs for a diverse workforce and industries.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Hazardous Materials Operations.
• Must maintain a valid PA Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds over uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate response to hazmat incidents with emergency service providers and partners.
• Coordinate HazMat training and First Responder courses.
• Maintain and prepare equipment and supplies for response.
