Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. is seeking a Package Gas Driver 2 responsible for transporting cylinders safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.

The role requires a valid CDL A with Hazmat and Air Brake endorsements, a medical card, and the ability to operate a forklift for loading and unloading. The driver reports to the Site Manager or Operations Manager and must maintain accurate duty status records.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial Class A license with Hazmat and Air Brake endorsements and medical card.
• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year commercial driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports cylinders to customers safely and on time while following DOT rules.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep vehicle clean.
• Maintain records of duty status and complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Assist with loading/unloading using forklift as required.

Class A CDL Packaged Gas Truck Driver in Birmingham, AL

· $85,000 - $95,000 Average Annual Income
· Schedule: M-F – Start time between 4am-6am (2 Layovers a week)

Requirements:
· CDL Class A with current DOT medical card
· 2 years of CDL Class A experience or 1.5 years of experience with certification from an accredited trucking school.
· Must have prior experience driving manual 10 speed transmission and be able to pass the road test
· Current Hazmat
· No more than 1 traffic violation in last 2 years
· No at-fault accidents in last 2 years
· No DUI/DWI in last 5 years (1 lifetime max)
· Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
