Job summary

Global- a 1st Flagship Company: Bremerton, WA location seeking a Safety, Environmental and Hazardous Material Technician I to perform inspections, sampling, and safety oversight of marine and facility operations.

You will conduct regulatory compliance inspections, hazardous material management, and environmental monitoring, while supporting training and reporting. Strong certifications and security clearance are essential.

Qualifications

Shipyard Competent Person (gas-free) certification and Washington State asbestos license.
AHERA Building Inspector Certification.
40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
HWAA Operator (HW49) qualification.
Valid state driver’s license with ability to operate company/government vehicles.

Responsibilities

Perform annual vessel and facility safety/environmental inspections.
Conduct daily waterfront safety/environmental hazard inspections.
Perform hot work inspections and safety reviews of oil, hazmat, ballast, and rainwater pumping operations.
Inspect asbestos and preservation operations; air testing and sampling.
Conduct heat stress and noise surveys; assist with training.
