Job summary

SRE ENGINEERING DPC is seeking an experienced Hazmat/Environmental Inspector in New York, NY, to support environmental compliance monitoring on a significant NYCDOT bridge reconstruction project. The role demands strong knowledge of hazmat compliance and environmental regulations, demonstrated experience in lead paint removal, and substantial coordination with multiple regulatory agencies. This is a part-time, on-site position requiring certifications in NICET Level III and ACI Concrete Field-Testing. The successful candidate will ensure that all project environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of construction inspection experience with a hazmat or environmental compliance focus.
• NYCDOT or NYSDOT project experience required.
• Experience with lead paint removal compliance, monitoring, and documentation on bridge construction projects required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with lead paint removal plans.
• Collect, document, and submit surface soil samples for lead analysis.
• Prepare and submit the sampling and analysis plan to NYCDOT.
