Job summary

Clean Harbors in San Jose, CA is seeking a Class B CDL Driver to operate light and heavy-duty trucks at customer sites and perform hazardous waste clean-up duties. The role features a 5:00 AM start, 10–14 hour days with significant overtime, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred and training is provided. Expect duties across vehicle operation, loading/unloading, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Must successfully complete a background check, drug test, and a medical evaluation.
• Respiratory protection per OSHA rules may apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by following all safe work practices and policies.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as part of a team.
• Operate a variety of Class B trucks and load/unload vehicles.
• Maintain customer satisfaction at time of service.
• Properly placard vehicles per DOT requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets and reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations and company guidelines.
• Be on-call for emergency response on a rotating basis and assist with site remediation and decontamination as needed.
