Job summary
Harcros Chemicals in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Chemical Worker/Driver to safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials. You will operate diesel or gasoline-powered commercial vehicles, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT, ICC, and company safety standards.
The role also supports warehouse operations, loading/unloading, hazardous waste handling, and customer service. Candidates should have a CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, a clean MVR, and a commitment to
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 2 years of driving/transportation or logistics experience.
- Valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain eligibility.
- Strong reading of safety procedures and transportation documents.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service.
- Clean MVR and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials per regulations.
- Read orders, bills of lading, and shipping documents accurately.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load/unload trucks and operate forklifts as needed.
- Maintain driver logs and regulatory paperwork.
- Support warehouse operations and basic equipment maintenance.
- Respond to incidents and follow safety procedures.
