Job summary

Republic Services, a leader in environmental services, is hiring a Field Technician to ensure timely responses to scheduled and Emergency Response calls. The role involves cleanup of hazardous waste, PPE use, and compliance with safety policies. Candidates must pass pre-employment screenings and may travel for projects.

Responsibilities include on-call emergency response, rotating shifts, and strict adherence to health and safety standards while handling hazardous materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and alcohol testing.
• Pass a pre-employment background screening.
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training.
• Must obtain Transportation Worker (TWIC) clearance within 45 days if applicable.
• Able to read, write, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Remediate cleanup of hazardous waste and materials under supervision.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and safe work practices.
• Perform confined space entry, oil spill cleanup, drum handling, decontamination, high pressure washing.
• Work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• On-call for emergency response and potential out-of-town travel.
