Clean Harbors is seeking a Hazardous Material Technician I to support the CleanPack and Treatment and Disposal business. The role involves packaging waste safely, supporting spill response, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Proper packaging of waste to maximize efficiency and compliance.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Participate in spill response on customer sites as needed.
• Attend all compliance and safety update meetings.
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Operate forklift safely.
• Load and unload waste hauling vehicles safely.
• Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary.
• Follow local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and regulatory requirements.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
