Job summary

Solairus Aviation in Maine seeks a Captain to lead safe, discreet operations aboard the Hawker 900XP while delivering an exceptional client experience. You will assume PIC responsibility, ensure aircraft readiness, and uphold regulatory compliance with FARs.

The role requires a high level of safety, strong judgment, and outstanding customer service, with on-call availability to support discerning travelers.

Qualifications

• Total flight time: 3,000 hours; 1,500 hours PIC; 1,500 hours multi-engine; 500 hours multi-engine PIC; 500 hours turbojet; 250 hours instrument.
• Ratings & Medical: Type rating on Hawker 900XP or comparable aircraft; current First-Class Medical.
• Training: Annual ICAO international procedures training (required).
• Availability: On-call to support clients’ travel needs.
• Residency: Primary residence within two-hour drive of KRKD or willing to relocate.
• Professional qualities: Uncompromising commitment to safety, strong judgment, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assume PIC responsibility and conduct each flight safely and prudently.
• Review the aircraft’s maintenance status and documentation prior to departure.
• Conduct a complete preflight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Evaluate weather, NOTAMs, route facilities, destination, and alternate airports.
• Operate in full compliance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and all applicable FARs.
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers, and the security of aircraft and crew, at all times.
• Accurately complete all trip-related paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
