Job summary

Haven Health Globe is seeking a Certified Medication Assistant to provide resident care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing. The CMA will perform CNA duties and administer medications within approved guidelines, under licensed nurse direction. Arizona CNA licensure and ongoing compliance are required.

The role emphasizes safe medication administration, understanding scope of practice, and collaboration with nursing staff to support residents’ well-being at Haven Health Globe.

Qualifications

• Active, non-probationary CNA license with at least six months of active work.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• CPR certification required (class-instructed).
• Background screening, licensure verification, reference check, and drug testing.
• TB testing and employee health screening as part of Hire process.
• Ability to move, lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care in accordance with assessments and care plans under DON supervision.

Description

The Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing (DON) and is responsible for providing resident care to residents in accordance with resident assessments, care plans and as directed by nursing management. The CMA role incorporates the responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant but also medication administration in accordance with state and company policy. CMAs are responsible for understanding their authorized scope of practice in all areas of resident care with a special emphasis on the administration of medications within approved guidelines under the direction of the DON or other designated licensed nurse. CMAs must be licensed in the state of Arizona and must meet all prior requirements in order to obtain such licensure.

Requirements

> Active, Non-Probationary CNA License with active work for at least six months. License may have no outstanding complaints or restrictions.

> Minimum education requirement of at least a high school diploma, GED or U.S. college or U.S. military credits or 12 years of education in a foreign country.

> Active, Class-Instructed CPR Certification
