Job summary

The Tulalip Tribes are seeking a Hatchery Technician I to assist in day-to-day operations at our hatchery facilities. You will follow established safety and biosecurity protocols while supporting fish rearing, health checks, and related processes to support treaty fishing rights.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, potential vocational training, and a WA driver's license; prior maintenance or hatchery experience is preferred, and a pre-employment background check is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Vocational training related to maintenance and/or Hatchery related operations preferred
• Experience working in a maintenance field preferred.
• Experience working in a fish hatchery or fisheries related environment preferred.
• WA State Driver License.
• Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations. (Abstract Required)
• Must complete an Agility exam to determine if physically capable of performing the job.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

JOB SUMMARY

The Hatchery Technician I will assist in general operational activities at the various Hatchery facilities and will perform job duties and responsibilities per established facility bio-security and safety protocols, fish rearing and fish health best practices, facility operational guidelines and workplace policies; and performs duties as they relate to U.S. v Washington and to the harvesting, processing, or transporting fish harvested in the exercise of treaty fishing rights.

COMPENSATION

$20.00hr.

Minimum Required Education

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Vocational training related to maintenance and/or Hatchery related operations preferred

Minimum Related Experience

• Experience working in a maintenance field preferred.
• Experience working in a fish hatchery or fisheries related environment preferred.

Required Licenses/Certifications/Prerequisites
