Perdue Farms in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking a Hatchery Production Associate to support optimal incubation, hatching, and care of chicks, ensuring stringent environmental controls and quality standards. This hands-on role emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork to deliver healthy chicks to Perdue Foods growers.

The position offers a base pay of $20-21 per hour, potential pay premiums, shift differentials, overtime where applicable, and an annual bonus depending on performance.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, set, and transfer approximately 991,440 eggs per week, minimizing damage and maximizing hatchability.
• Clean and sanitize the hatchery, including 68 hatchers/setters, 37 evaporative coolers, 14 heaters and duct work, reducing mold and bacteria.
• Operate tray wash and/or separator machines for maximum throughput with minimal product damage.
• Transport and process approximately 250,000 chicks daily with accurate distribution and quality control.
• Perform duties as requested by management, fostering teamwork and morale.
