Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a CDL Class A truck driver to load at the hatchery, deliver chicks to farms, and return with empty carriers. The role involves heavy lifting, driving in all weather, and washing carriers after return.

The position is highly physical and requires good decision making, teamwork, and the ability to work in hot, dusty environments. Additional hatchery duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• Valid driving record and DOT medical card.
• Must pass DOT physical.
• Must possess good decision making ability.
• Must be able to work as part of a team with other drivers and Hatchery employees.
• Able to work in hot and dusty environments.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to drive large trucks in all types of weather
• Must be able to lift/push 70+ lbs.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A license, a good driving record, a drug-free record and must pass a DOT physical.
• Must possess good decision making ability.
• May also be required to do other Hatchery related jobs.
• Good work ethics and able to work as a team with other drivers and Hatchery employees.
• Able to work in hot and dusty environments.
