Job summary

Aviagen, a leading poultry breeding company, is seeking a Hatch Crew member to maintain cleanliness across the hatchery and to transfer eggs from setters to hatchers. You will sanitize equipment, prepare sections for hatch days, and assist with sexing and farm delivery of day-old chicks.

The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and follow strict SOPs. Reliable attendance and transportation are important for this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to complete repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and work under pressure.
• Must be able to perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Proven reliability in work attendance and willingness to give best effort.
• Must have own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness throughout the hatchery building.
• Clean/sanitize machines, tables, floors, ceilings, etc.
• Transfer eggs from setters to hatchers.
• Make boxes and other general duties.
• Handle day‑old chicks in accordance with welfare standards and SOP’s.
• Meet all of the operating procedures as outlined by company policy.
• Prepare newly hatched chicks for sexing and farm delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
