Job summary

Arctiq is seeking an experienced HashiCorp Resident Technical Consultant to support our client's cloud infrastructure modernization. You will design, implement, and optimize IaC using Terraform, build modular patterns, and mentor engineers across teams.

The role emphasizes Golang development, automation tooling, and enterprise-scale deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with strong consulting, communication, and documentation skills to guide cloud platform improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Terraform development.
• Strong Golang programming experience.
• Experience building reusable IaC frameworks.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HashiCorp technical consultant for the client organization.
• Design and develop IaC using Terraform.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and standardized infrastructure patterns.
• Develop automation tooling and platform capabilities using Golang.
• Support enterprise adoption of Terraform Enterprise/Cloud, Vault, and Consul.
• Partner with cloud engineering teams to automate provisioning across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Establish infrastructure governance and policy as code practices.
• Perform code reviews and mentor engineers on Terraform development standards.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize cloud environments.
• Produce technical documentation, architecture guidance, and runbooks.
• Participate in architecture discussions and provide recommendations for cloud platform improvements.

We are seeking an experienced HashiCorp Resident Technical Consultant (RTC) with strong expertise in Terraform, Golang, and cloud platform engineering to work as an embedded technical consultant supporting our client's cloud infrastructure and platform modernization initiatives.

This consultant will partner closely with engineering, platform, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to design, develop, automate, and optimize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions while promoting HashiCorp best practices across the organization.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong consulting and communication skills and has experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HashiCorp technical consultant supporting client engineering teams.
• Design and develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Build reusable Terraform modules and standardized infrastructure patterns.

  • Terraform Enterprise / Terraform Cloud
  • Vault (preferred)
  • Consul (preferred)
• Partner with cloud engineering teams to automate provisioning across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines including GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Establish infrastructure governance, policy as code, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Terraform development.
• Strong programming experience with Golang.
• Experience building reusable Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
• Experience with one or more major cloud providers:
  • AWS
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Git source control and CI/CD automation.
• Strong understanding of:
  • Infrastructure automation
  • Networking
  • Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Cloud security best practices
  • Linux administration
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to work directly with client stakeholders.

• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (or higher)
• Experience with HashiCorp Vault
• Experience with Consul
• Kubernetes experience
• Docker/container platform experience
• Experience with Sentinel Policy as Code
• Experience with Terratest or automated IaC testing
• Experience building internal developer platforms
• Experience supporting large enterprise cloud transformations
