Job summary

Western Valley Meat Company is hiring for Harvest General Production team members in Fresno, CA. This full-time, day-shift position involves working with knives, scales and other processing equipment to skin, trim, sort and inspect carcasses and edible offal products.

Pay starts at $17.50 hourly with progression up to $24.50 based on role and hire timing. The environment is hot, humid and requires strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch and twist while using hands and arms to do simple gripping and grasping.
• Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying objects.
• Working from platforms off the floor.
• Position requires the use of knives and hooks.

Responsibilities

• Using tools and equipment such as knives, scissors, saws, scales and other specialized manufacturing equipment.
• Skinning, trimming, sorting, hanging and inspection of carcasses and other edible offal products.
• Loading product into machines, packaging, and boxing, labeling and scaling of product.
• Work Schedule Start times range from 7am to 830am depending on specific role.
