JOB DESCRIPTION - HARNESS ASSOCIATE

The Harness Department Associate will be responsible for providing a quality product within the set time standards for the product. All Associates' goal is to monitor work to ensure that a quality product is produced 100% of the time.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Distinguishes colors – Certain processes may require the ability to distinguish color codes to correctly identify wire and other materials needed in the production process.
  • Reading comprehension – Understanding what has been read and following the instructions is a critical function.
  • Basic math skills are required – Basic math skills are defined as the ability to perform simple multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, and measurements, depending on the process step requirement.
  • Read and understand information relating to usage, PPE, safe labeling, proper handling, and proper disposal of any chemical used in the production process being performed.
  • Read and follow production processes and work instructions
  • Requires ability to read various labels, wire marking, part identifications, etc. (small print)
  • Requires a high degree of manual dexterity to handle small objects.
  • Employees are expected to maintain a clean and safe work area and practices the 6S + Safety requirements.
  • Participates and demonstrates an understanding of process improvements.
  • Requires the ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed, to meet the customer delivery schedule.
  • Must consistently meet quality and productivity requirements.
  • Employees are expected to pass all required training within a reasonable amount of time.
  • This position will require that the Associate demonstrate reliability to meet attendance, product quality, and productivity standards due to production schedules.
  • Actively participate in 6S Improvement programs.
