Job summary

ITW in Wisconsin seeks a Harness Backup Machine Operator & Assembler to run wire cutting machines, bench termination equipment, and assemble harnesses for new product launches. The role involves about 40% cutting, 40% termination, and 20% assembly, with a focus on quality and on-time delivery.

The candidate will work with Komax and Artos equipment, perform maintenance, and adapt to changing workloads. A high school diploma, basic computer skills, and mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong communication and positive attitude expected.
  • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn.
  • Mechanically inclined with problem-solving ability.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other areas as needed.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic product specs and drawings.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Willingness to overtime and adapt to production priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, perform preventive maintenance, and clean equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic corrective maintenance on machines.
  • Be proficient with Komax and Artos equipment and bench termination.
  • Produce quality crimps using bench termination tools.
  • Prioritize workload to meet daily and weekly production goals.
  • Support harness assembly for new product launches when needed.
  • Commit to safe and efficient manufacturing practices.
