Job summary

Syntronic is seeking a Hardware Validation Engineer in Cambridge, MA to validate server hardware and platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Review hardware requirements, schematics, layouts, and platform configurations.
• Perform system bring-up, debug, and troubleshooting across power, thermal, storage, networking, and system management.
• Perform root-cause analysis of hardware issues and collaborate with other teams to resolve them.
• Develop and execute hardware validation and qualification plans for system and server and other platform components.
• Work with low-level interfaces and protocols such as I²C, SPI, UART, PCIe, and NVMe.
• Use laboratory and diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, thermal chambers, networking equipment, and other hardware debugging tools.
• Develop Python and/or Bash scripts to automate validation activities, collect and analyze test data, parse logs, and generate reports.
• Work with Linux-based systems for hardware validation, troubleshooting, and test automation.
• Support networking and connectivity validation relevant to CDN server infrastructure.
• Collaborate with OEM/ODM partners and component suppliers on technical issues, qualification activities, and validation.
• Document test procedures, results, failures, root causes, and corrective actions.
• Support production and post-deployment issue investigation and provide feedback for future hardware improvements.
