Job description

The Hardware Test Integration Program Engineer serves as the technical owner for manufacturing test execution during new product development. This role combines hardware engineering, test strategy, and cross-functional program leadership to ensure products successfully transition from engineering builds into production.

You will partner with engineering teams and manufacturing partners to improve test coverage, accelerate issue resolution, and deliver robust manufacturing test solutions for cutting-edge consumer products.

What You will Do

  • Own manufacturing test execution throughout the NPI development cycle.
  • Develop and manage test readiness plans for prototype and production builds.
  • Lead build support activities, including factory dry runs and production validation.
  • Drive rapid resolution of hardware and manufacturing test issues.
  • Review manufacturing data and identify trends impacting yield or product quality.
  • Create automation tools to improve test efficiency and manufacturing diagnostics.
  • Coordinate activities across electrical engineering, firmware, software, operations, and manufacturing organizations.
  • Present technical findings and project updates to engineering leadership.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that increase manufacturing efficiency and product maturity.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hardware testing, system validation, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with embedded systems, PCB-level debugging, or hardware bring-up.
  • Programming experience in Python, C, or similar languages.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing validation methodologies and statistical analysis.

Preferred Experience

  • Hardware communication interfaces including I2C, SPI, UART, or USB.
  • Manufacturing test automation.
  • Failure analysis and yield improvement.
  • Technical program management or engineering leadership experience.
  • Experience with displays, batteries, acoustics, cameras, touch technologies, motion sensors, or power electronics.
  • Knowledge of embedded firmware and hardware integration.

These versions read as separate requisitions while still targeting the same candidate market. One is positioned as a Manufacturing Systems Integration Engineer focused on factory readiness, while the other emphasizes a Hardware Test Integration Program Engineer responsible for leading cross-functional NPI execution and manufacturing test strategy.
