GeoLogics is seeking a Hardware Software Systems Engineer with an active DoD Secret clearance for a Middletown, RI engagement. The contract spans 12+ months with potential to hire, and off-cycle travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required with 10+ years of experience, or advanced degree with 7+ years; otherwise 14 years experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required (US Citizenship).
• Experience with requirements traceability matrices and configuration control boards (CCBs), and DOORS.

Responsibilities

• Capture program requirements baseline in a requirements database.
• Maintain the requirements database through configuration management processes.
• Decompose Level 1 requirements to Levels 2–4 with leads across engineering disciplines.
• Develop and execute the requirements verification strategy.
• Coordinate with Design and Test leads to ensure validation/verification plans meet sell-off requirements.
• Ensure the system meets performance and nonperformance requirements.
• Champion process improvement initiatives and lead system development tasks.
• Interface with external customer scientists, engineers and program management.
• Communicate program status through oral presentations and reports.

Salary: $115/hr - $143/hr W2 (Depends on experience and benefits chosen)

Clearance: Top Secret/SCI (US Citizenship REQUIRED)

GeoLogics has an exciting opportunity for a Hardware Software Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Capture program requirements baseline in a requirements database
• Maintain, through configuration management processes, the requirements database
• Analyze, develop and decompose Level 1 requirements to Levels 2 through 4, through collaborating with leads across engineering disciplines
• Develop and execute the requirements verification strategy
• Coordinate with the Design and Test leads to ensure validation/verification plans and procedures are robust and satisfy system sell off requirements
• Ensure the system meets performance and nonperformance requirements
• Champion process improvement initiatives
• Lead various system development and troubleshooting tasks
• Interface and collaborate with external customer scientists, engineers and program management
• Work within program leadership team to ensure program success
• Communicate through oral presentations and written reports on program status, issues and success

Success Criteria

Completes development of requirements traceability, and qualification testing suite development approved by customer

Completes support of HW/SW system acceptance testing and reporting with deliverables accepted by customer.

Required Skills

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
• An Active DoD secret clearance
• This position may require some domestic travel (less than 10%)
• Experience developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices, and in configuration control boards (CCBs) as well as expertise with a requirements database tool, such as DOORS

Desired Skill Sets

• Experience in a technical leadership role, e.g. Lead Engineer, Senior Systems Engineer, etc.
• Experience in multidiscipline system design and testing
• Experience in requirements analysis, development, decomposition and maintenance
• Experience developing and maintaining requirements traceability matrices, and in configuration control boards (CCBs) as well as expertise with a requirements database tool, such as DOORS
