Job summary

AWSNETWORKS GLOBAL is seeking an on-site field service technician for a contract role in the Clayton area. You will travel to customer sites within a 75 mile radius, handling IT, cabling and networking tasks per work orders and service instructions.

Hours vary with jobs from 6am to 9pm. You must bring your own tools and have reliable transportation. Tasks include setting up or troubleshooting devices, networks, CCTV, POS, printers and AV equipment; travel pay is provided.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT, cabling and networking experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and network devices.
• Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, digital signage and AV equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site IT, cabling and networking tasks at customer locations.
• Set up, troubleshoot or repair devices, including printers, POS and AV systems.
• Install and troubleshoot telecoms, CCTV, and related equipment.
• Follow service instructions and work orders within a 75-mile radius.
• Work a flexible schedule between 6am and 9pm; bring own tools and transportation.

This is a contract role with a flexible schedule, the job is on-site field service work involving either cabling, installing devices (e.g AP’s, routers or switches, media players, TV’s, display screens, etc), installing alarm systems or CCTV systems, or maintaining on site equipment.

You will be assigned to tickets sent to you as work orders to execute daily, which will be done at the locations of the customers within a 75 mile radius of your current location.

We require technicians that are available between 6am and 9pm as this is the time frame within which most jobs will be scheduled.

This job entails being on-site to do hands-on IT, cabling or networking jobs which may involve any of the following:

• 1. Set up or troubleshoot photocopiers.
• 2. Troubleshoot or repair desktops and laptops.
• 3. Install or troubleshoot fiber cables.
• 4. Install or troubleshoot low-voltage cables.
• 5. Install or troubleshoot networking devices.
• 6. Set up or troubleshoot point-of-sale computers.
• 7. Setup or troubleshoot Printers.
• 8. Install or troubleshoot Digital Signage.
• 9. Install or troubleshoot Satellite Systems.
• 10. Install or troubleshoot Switches and Routers.
• 11. Setup or troubleshoot Server hardware and software.
• 12. Install Structured cabling.
• 13. Install and troubleshoot Telecoms and VoIP systems.
• 14. Install and troubleshoot CCTV and Alarm Systems.
• 15. Install and troubleshoot Kiosks.
• 14. Install and troubleshoot Audio Visual Systems.

You will need to have your hardware tools for cabling and general IT work. You also need to have a means of transportation to go to each customers location where the job needs to done, which will be within a MAX of 75 mile radius of your current location.

We offer travel pay of $0.15 along with the hourly pay stated in this job advert, and you also get to have a lot of tax deductions from the travel distance covered which is according to the IRS travel pay for tax deductions, we have an app that takes care of these.

No training is offered for this role. Only apply if you know you have the skills in the above mentioned areas. You will be given service instructions for each job you will be sent out to do, and you also have tech support available to you for each job.
