Job summary

ASRC Federal is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee a team of 10-15 personnel responsible for shipping, receiving, and warehousing operations at our Chambersburg site. You will ensure accurate counts, documentation, and efficient handling of materials on a government contract.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 8 years of warehouse experience, with strong leadership, safety, and communication skills to motivate staff and maintain compliance with federal requirements.

• Possesses broad knowledge of warehouse operations.
• Ability to lift/move heavy objects and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of 10-15 handling counts and weights to verify against bills of lading and orders.
• Oversees shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering materials.
• Directs preparation of shipping forms and packaging.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, wrappers, and strapping machines as needed.
• Maintains transactions in the warehouse management system.

Job Summary

Supervises personnel that perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

Job Duties

• Supervises a team of 10-15 individuals that Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
• Responsible for the success of the warehouse portion of a government contract.
• Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
• Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
• Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping.
• Manually wrap/package material.
• Prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
• Operates pallet wrapper and strapping machine.
• Process transactions in the warehouse management system.

Required Skills, Experience And Education

• Ability to supervise and motivate others to fulfill the warehouse requirements of the contract.

• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
• Requires a high school diploma and 8 years of experience.
