Job summary

IBM invites applications for Hardware Development Engineers to design, test and support hardware, firmware and semiconductors for IBM ZSystems, Power Systems, Storage and Quantum Systems. The team focuses on RTL design, EDA, signal and power integrity, packaging, and analytics.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields, project or internship hardware experience, and strong communication skills. Knowledge of C/C++, Python, Verilog/VHDL and SPICE is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related majors.
  • Prior (project or internship) experience in computer hardware or testing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and provide customer support for hardware, firmware and semiconductors.
  • Participate in RTL design, verification, physical design, electrical design and packaging.
  • Support in failure analysis, product quality and analytics.
  • Customer and field engineering support.
