AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Hardware Design Engineer to lead FPGA architecture, design, and development for advanced embedded systems.

You will collaborate with software and system teams to architect, verify, and debug FPGA and embedded firmware designs while mentoring junior engineers. The role emphasizes RTL development, FPGA design, lab verification, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or equivalent.
• 6+ years of RTL/FPGA experience.
• Experience with RTL development (VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog).
• Experience with FPGA design, synthesis, P&R tools (Vivado/Quartus).
• Experience in Linux and/or Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA architecture, design, coding, verification, and lab debug activities.
• Develop RTL using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Perform FPGA synthesis, place & route, timing analysis.
• Develop test benches for verification/validation.
• Collaborate with software and system engineers on hardware/firmware interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
